Let's not even get started on the MTS/no marriage rule. For at least two years you are expected to not marry (and not date, because that with a view to marriage) because you are viewed as society property. So you've got these horny MTS brothers who are being chased by these sisters (who think they're pursuing a catch), but can not do anything with each other. Brothers that have decided to date before the two-year edict was up were thrown out of the program like fish thrown back in the water...........

mts was something that started in 1987 for those who wanted to pursue other avenues of services without having to go through bethel service.
it originally was intended to be an abbreviated gilead course with brothers receiving assignments to go into the circuit work, missionary service, special pioneer work or to serve where the need was greater (which oftentimes translated to the boonies or starkly rural areas).

How do we know that Ted Jaracz is in charge?

Jaracz is like the domineering presiding overseer who is supposed to consider the input from the rest of the body, but instead uses his influence to hold sway over the BOE. He is hands-down the senior GB member and he rules with an iron fist. MTS is most definitely his baby. And his is a prolific asshole. I got along very well with Losch when I was at the House. He had a European way of looking at things at came off as open-minded except for his views on Football and his roommates "holding hands and praying" spiel. As has been echoed here, Jack Barr was/is truly a sincere and sweet person and proves that not everyone in the cult is an SOB. I was assigned to his morning worship table for awhile, and it was refreshing to be around him.........

BETHELITES - Whatever Became of?
by Black Man ini often times wonder what happened to certain bethelites that i ran around with during my 1990s tenure there.
while there are still a few left there, the greater majority of them aren't there for various reasons (marriage, disillusionment, left the borg, etc).
a couple of cats i wonder about - there was one brother who i believe was from kansas, who got his fingers cut off in a printing press.

by Save My Soul inmy sister-in-law is recently divorced and went to a witness online dating site.
she mentioned that many of the witnesses specified that they wanted a white or latino only.
of course there is nothing wrong with this (personal preference), but i found it interesting.

Ciro Aulicino - Watchtower Man for Life
by VM44 inusing various online databases i looked up what was available on ciro aulicino who is well known for getting the watchtower signed up as an ngo with the united nations.
the following information was returned.
note that his residences have all been at watchtower owned addresses.. considering his age, and dependence upon the watchtower for most of his life, ciro probably won't be considering any change in his relgion!.

Actually, I dug Ciro a lot, when I was at the house. He was indeed a rebel, in the truest sense of the word. He once told me because he doesn't tow the company line, even though he was in the Writing Department, he would never advance beyond that. At the time, I thought it was cool the time he brought up in one of the Writing Department meetings about how hypocritical it was for bethel to use college grads, give them offices and prominent jobs, but ignore the ones who didn't go to college and stick them in cleaning after they were only following the society's advice to "seek kingdom interests first." His talks were always cool, interesting and incorporate sometimes obscure facts that did make you think.........
